The first meeting of the board of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities was held

On October 3, 2015, the first meeting of the Board and the general meeting of the public organization “All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities” were held at the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs.

The meeting was attended by leading scientists from different regions of Ukraine - the rector of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Professor Korystin Oleksandr Yevheniyovych (Odesa), the head of the Interdepartmental Research Center for the Fight against Organized Crime under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Yurchenko Oleksandr Mykhailovych (Kyiv), the chief researcher of the Department of Organization of Scientific and Research Work of the National Internal Affairs Department, Doctor of Law, Professor Orlov Yuriy Yuriyovych (Kyiv), the head of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the KhNUVS, Doctor of Law, Senior Researcher Shendryk Vladislav Volodymyrovych (Kharkiv), the head of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the National Internal Affairs Department, Doctor of Law, Professor Nykyforchuk Dmytro Yosypovych (Kyiv), the professor of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Professor Zakharov Vasyl Pavlovych (Lviv), the head of the Department of Criminal Procedure of the National Internal Affairs Department, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Udalova Larisa Davydivna (Kyiv), the deputy Head of the Faculty of Tax Police for Scientific Work of the National University of the State Police of Ukraine, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Nekrasov Vyacheslav Anatoliyovych (Irpin), First Vice-Rector of the State Police Department of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Albul Serhiy Volodymyrovych (Odesa), Head of Doctoral and Adjunct Studies of the State Police Department of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Law, Senior Researcher Tarasenko Ruslan Vladyslavovych (Odesa), Head of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the State Police Department of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Mukoida Ruslan Viktorovych (Odesa), Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure of the State Police Department of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Kholostenko Andriy Volodymyrovych (Odesa).

The meeting discussed and approved the Regulations on the Chairman of the Board and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Public Organization “All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities”, the Regulations on the Audit Commission of the Association, the Regulations on Entrance and Membership Fees. A lively discussion arose during the development of the work plan of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities).

The participants of the meeting decided to establish ties with higher educational institutions that train specialists in the field of ORD, and practical units of law enforcement agencies that carry out operational and investigative activities; launch a printed series of publications "Theory and Practice of ORD"; organize interaction with the Ministries and departments of Ukraine, which include operational units, in order to determine priority areas of the theory and practice of operational and investigative activities, develop scientific and practical, methodological recommendations for holding events to popularize the activities of the association, etc.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Association, Professor Oleksandr Evgeniyovych Korystin, presented the members of the Board with certificates of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities.

We would like to remind you that the public organization "All-Ukrainian Association of Scientists and Specialists in the Field of Operational and Investigative Activities" was founded in April 2015 in Odessa as a voluntary community of leading scientists and practitioners who carry out their activities in the field of operational and investigative activities.

The main objectives of the association are: scientific enrichment of the theory of operational and investigative activities and implementation of the results in practical activities; systematic and qualified approach to studying foreign experience in the field of operational and investigative activities, criminal intelligence, the latest methods of combating crime, etc.; assistance in the reform of law enforcement agencies and other measures aimed at improving the law enforcement system in Ukraine; assistance in the coordination of scientific research and educational and methodological activities in the field of operational and investigative activities, exchange of experience on these issues; stimulation of scientific research in the field of operational and investigative activities, primarily those necessary for solving problems of practical activities of operational units of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine; maintenance and development of domestic traditions and schools in the theory of operational and investigative activities; assistance in the work of law enforcement agencies in the development of legislation in the field of operational and investigative activities; organization and holding of conferences, seminars and trainings for practical law enforcement officers with the involvement of experts and specialists, including foreign ones; promotion of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the legislation of the European Union and improvement of Ukrainian legislation in the field of operational and investigative activities based on the positive experience of foreign countries; promotion of improving the qualifications of scientists and specialists in the field of operational and investigative activities; support of scientific institutions and analytical centers dealing with problems of operational and investigative activities.
