February 22 – International Day of Support for Victims of Crime and Evil Power

The problem of social rehabilitation of victims of crimes and the evil of power began to prevail at the end of the last century. In the spring of 1985, the VII UN Congress on the Prevention of Crime and Crime against Offenders adopted the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for victims of crime and crime.

On November 29, 1985, the UN General Assembly adopted this Declaration, which first elaborated on the universal principles of support and protection for victims of crime and abuse of power. The Declaration of the Main Directives of Conflict for Victims of Crimes is aimed at promoting international standards for victims’ access to the justice system and government support, criminal legal restitution, and compensation for victims. from state funds, the provision of necessary material, medical, psychological and social assistance will be tolerated from orderly, voluntary, public and local channels, etc.

On February 22, 1990, the government of England published the “Victims of Crime Charter.” From that hour on, in all civilized and democratic worlds they mark the day of supporting the victims of evil and the evil of power.

In a victimological sense, the victim is a physical person or a human being, in any form of their integration, to which evil acts are directly or indirectly influenced. The potential victim is not popular. The likelihood of becoming the object of a malicious attack depends on a variety of factors - special characteristics, social-role status, specific living situation. For an individual who has become a victim of evil, fear, frustration, attention, and sometimes suicide.

In a number of countries, laws have been adopted and are in force aimed at the protection of victims of crimes, their social rehabilitation, compensation for material and moral harm. There are nearly 200 programs in the world to help survivors of crime, from programs to help survivors of sexual violence and ending with municipal services for cleaning up the mortuary area. criminals and locksmiths who can safely insert locks and repair entrance doors in the event of a burglary. Such programs really help people overcome stress, get out of crises, and finally, simply provide material and moral encouragement.
